The ASF is preparing a new rack to grow into, and it requires a pair of PDUs. We already have the matching Cyclades Console Server, and we have had good results with these units in our existing UL rack.

Sun has graciously donated one T2000 server to us, and we are nearly ready to push it into production. We would like to have a second T2000 server identically configured, and located at the SARA colo facility in the Netherlands for redundancy. These servers are slated to provide the bulk of the ASF's websites, and are absolutely mission critical.

We have an immediate need for this SCSI controller, part #SGXPCI1SCSILM320-Z. We are using our existing Sun T2000 (thanks Sun!) together with a PowerVault 220S, generously donated by Ask.com. We have one of these cards installed already, and we require a second card to allow us to mirror our existing RAID-Z configuration across both sections of the PowerVault. The additional two cards will be used in the T2000 we're requesting above; to be paired with our second PowerVault 220S (also donated by Ask.com).

We are preparing loki (an x345) to serve as a hot-spare/backup host, but we do not currently have suitable storage for it. Critical components of our infrastructure, especially mail, are operating without backups, so this additional PowerVault (or similar hardware) is sorely needed.
